The Vila Closa is the walled medieval part of the town of Altafulla. Its houses were built in the 18th Century due to the prosperity from wine industry exports to the American colonies. In 1998, the Generalitat of Catalunya declared this historic-artistic area a national cultural heritage site.
Located on a hill above the town is the Chapel of St. Anthony.
